Karen’s dedication to the AUSA “Sunshine Chapter” has been recognized by her peers, receiving the AUSA Third Region Merit Award and Award For Excellence.
NDIA

As an involved member, Karen attends the NDIA bi-monthly luncheons and other events in order to stay up to date on the latest issues and trends, and to network with Government and Industry partners.
Women in Defense

Karen is a member of this non-profit professional organization, which includes men and women, who have careers related to the defense of the United States and national security. She has also been honored to be a featured speaker at a WID event.
The University Club

Karen is on the Board of Directors for the University Club and is also the Chairperson for the Charitable Works Committee.
Project Management Institute

Karen became a member of the Project Management Institute in 2004 and earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2005. She also taught PMP classes as an adjunct professor and continues to stay active with the Central Florida Chapter of PMI, attending conferences and speaking engagements.
Army Aviation Association of America

Karen attends monthly socials and utilizes the events for professional networking and maintaining relationships with Government and Industry representatives.
Virginia Tech Alum Association

Karen is a member of the Central Florida Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association and served as past treasurer. With more than 130 chapters, alumni chapters build strong relationships among alumni, students, parents and the community as a whole.
